In this blog post, you'll learn how to hang the canvas in your lovely home.
You will need the following tools:
if necessary a spirit level
The canvas arrives already with a hanger. I will also gladly include the nail.
And this is how it works:
Hold your artwork on the intended wall or even better ask someone to hold it and mark the position at the top and sides with a pencil.
Using the folding rule, measure the length from the left to the right mark and calculate the center.
Mark it on the wall.
The nail must be slightly below your marked height, because the suspension is fixed in the slightly below the stretcher - in this example 11 mm.
You can easily measure the height by measuring the distance from the top edge of the stretcher to the beginning of the prong of the suspension.
Now measure the distance you determined in step 3 on the wall and mark the corresponding place.
Now you have found the point where you hammer the nail into the wall.
Please note that you do not sink the nail completely into the wall. It must still protrude a little to be able to hang up the picture.
If you accidentally drive the nail too far into the wall, you can easily pull it out again with a pair of pliers.
Now you can hang the picture on the nail. With the spirit level and the prongs in the suspension you can now move the picture so that it hangs straight.
Et voilà. Now you can be enchanted by your work of art. 😊
