"You can't save or change the whole world with your art."
I want to share with you a little story that I always think of when someone tries to tell me that.
Once upon a time there was an old man.
Every morning he was walking along the seashore.
One day he saw a little girl walking around on the beach, picking something up and throwing it into the sea.
When the man came closer, he asked the girl:
"Good morning, what are you doing?"
The girl straightened up and spoke:
"I am throwing the starfish that were washed ashore by the tide back into the sea.
It is low tide and the sun is burning. If I don't do it, they will die."

"I make a Difference"
Astonished, the old man looked at her:
"Don't you realize that the beach here is miles long?
There are starfish everywhere. You can't possibly save them all.
What you do won't make any difference."
Then the girl picked up another starfish, smiled and spoke:
"It makes a difference to this one."

"I make a Difference"
None of us can help everyone. But please be aware that even from small steps, great things can come - there are enough examples of this in history.
Even if it was just one "starfish" whose life I was able to change positively through my art, for me my work would have already been worth it - because for him it changes EVERYTHING.
For whom do you make a difference?
For the cashier to whom you give a smile?
For the old lady you help across the street?
For the waiter to whom you pay a compliment?
For your best friend, whom you thank for your friendship?
...
Never underestimate the impact of your actions, no matter how insignificant they may be to other people!
Have fun "making a difference." You'll see, it's not that hard! 😉
